This Gen II loader works with virtually all 9mm and .40 caliber pistol magazines, whether single or double stack. What makes it different from other loaders is its straightforward design: you load rounds directly from your ammo box into the fixed rod, align your magazine underneath, then push the plunger down to feed them into your mag. The whole process takes about 10 seconds per magazine.
The loader grabs 10 rounds at a time straight from factory ammo boxes by catching the rim of each round. Drop your magazine into the bottom slot, load the rounds on the rod, then push down with the plunger. The rounds travel down a pathway and into your magazine without forcing them through the feed lips. This approach means your magazines stay in great condition, and your thumbs take a break from the pressure and pain that comes with loading rounds one at a time.
This loader works with most standard 9mm and .40 double and single stack magazines. That includes popular brands like Glock, SIG, Smith & Wesson, Taurus, CZ, and others. The Gen II version improved magazine insertion compared to the original, which means better compatibility overall. A few specialty magazines don't work with it (2011 style mags, Taurus G2C/G3C, Walther CCP, and SIG P938), but those are outside the typical double stack profile. Ammunition compatibility is also solid, with the loader working with over 95% of factory ammo tested. Steel cased rounds can require a bit of extra technique, but brass cased and nickel plated rounds load smoothly.
