Sonus is Latin for sound, which is a fitting name for a can built to take sound out of the equation. The Energetic Armament Sonus is a full-auto rated 9mm suppressor that tips the scale at just 9.8 ounces with the direct thread mount installed, and it gets there without giving up toughness. The whole thing is machined from US-made, DFAR certified 17-4 stainless steel heat treated to the H900 condition, which lets Energetic run thinner walls than most of the competition. Thinner walls mean more internal volume in the same footprint, and more volume means better sound attenuation. They also shed heat faster, pulling energy out of the muzzle gases before it ever reaches your ears.
At 6.6 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter, the Sonus stays trim enough for pistol duty while still handling a lot more than 9mm NATO. It carries ratings for .380 ACP, 300 Blackout in both supersonic and subsonic flavors, .38 Special and .357 Magnum, subsonic 8.6 Blackout, and 350 Legend with a 10 inch or longer barrel. There are no barrel length restrictions as long as you keep it under 1,000 degrees. That range covers everything from a nightstand pistol to a lever gun to a suppressed bolt action.
The rear of the Sonus uses the industry standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern, so it works with Bravo-style quick disconnect mounts, 3-lug adapters for subguns, and piston boosters for tilting barrel pistols. A removable 1/2×28 direct thread adapter comes in the box, so you can mount up right away. Up front, the removable end cap accepts a high-temperature silicone wipe that seals around the exiting bullet, squeezing extra quiet out of subsonic loads when you want the softest report possible.

The removable end cap holds a high-temperature silicone wipe that seals around the bullet as it exits, trapping gas for noticeably quieter performance with subsonic ammo. It is completely optional, so you can run the can without it for supersonic loads or high volume shooting. Wipes are a consumable item and get replaced as they wear.
