Every component here is machined in the US from DFAR certified 6Al-4V Grade 5 titanium, including the 1/2×28 direct-thread mount. That is a big deal for a rimfire can, because .22 LR is filthy and regular cleaning is just part of ownership. Titanium shrugs off aggressive solvents that would eat an aluminum suppressor alive, so you can drop it in the dip tank or scrub it hard without worrying about the finish or the metal underneath. The bead-blasted natural titanium exterior keeps looking sharp through years of cleanings, and the patented webbed outer tube trims weight while keeping the whole assembly rigid.
In full configuration, the 8 K-baffle stack puts the NYX Mod 2 among the quietest .22 cans out there, and the short setup still outperforms most dedicated compact suppressors. It is also rated for .22 LR full-auto, plus .22 WMR, .17 HMR, and even FN 5.7x28mm, so one tax stamp covers your plinker, your squirrel rifle, and your magnum rimfire.
Run it short on a pistol or a truck gun where every inch counts, then stretch it out for backyard plinking or small game work where maximum hush is the goal. At this weight, even the full-length setup disappears on the end of a rifle. Machining and fit on these are genuinely impressive, and it shows every time you take one apart.

The suppressor separates into two halves at the joint near the middle of the tube, letting you run 4 baffles short or all 8 in full length. No proprietary tools are required, and the included wrench fits the 13/16 inch flats on both the mount and end cap. A standard 13/16 socket or adjustable wrench works too.
Rimfire ammo runs dirty, so plan on cleaning roughly every 500 to 1000 rounds. Since the NYX Mod 2 is 100 percent titanium, you can use aggressive solvents and soaking methods that would damage aluminum suppressors. Both end caps come off without special tools, which makes teardown and reassembly quick.
You lose some performance dropping from 8 baffles to 4, which is just physics. That said, the short setup punches above its weight compared to other compact rimfire cans, and at 2.45 ounces and 3.7 inches it is a great match for pistols. When you want maximum quiet, the full configuration is about as hushed as a .22 LR gets.
