The Wolverine PBS-1 earned its reputation as the go-to can for com-bloc rifles, and the interchangeable thread insert system is a big reason why. This WV204 insert is cut in M14x1 right-hand thread, which is the pattern you'll find on Czech VZ58 barrels. Drop it into your Wolverine, pair it with the standard M14 collar that came in the box with your suppressor, and your VZ58 is ready to run quiet without buying a whole second can.
Dead Air machines these inserts from stainless steel and treats them with a black nitride finish, so they hold up to the heat and carbon that com-bloc guns love to throw at everything downstream of the muzzle. A quick heads up on fitment, since Dead Air makes a bunch of these and the thread pitches are easy to mix up. This one is 14x1mm right-hand, meant for the VZ58 specifically. If you're running a WASR-10, Yugo, or most AKM pattern rifles, those take the 14×1 left-hand insert (WV200) instead, and Century guns like the VSKA need the long version. The good news is that all of the smaller inserts, this one included, use the same M14 collar your Wolverine shipped with, so there's nothing extra to buy for a VZ58 setup.

No. All of the smaller Wolverine thread inserts, including this 14mm RH version, use the standard M14 collar that ships in the box with the Wolverine PBS-1 suppressor. Only the M24 and M26 inserts require different collars.
The inserts set the thread pitch of the Wolverine suppressor and are fully removable and interchangeable. That means you can move one Wolverine across multiple rifles with different muzzle threads just by swapping inserts, rather than owning a separate can for each host.
It's machined from stainless steel and finished in black nitride. That combination handles heat and carbon buildup well, which matters when you're hanging a can off a hard-running com-bloc rifle.
