The 14x1mm left-hand thread pitch is the bread and butter of the AK world, and this WV200 insert is the piece that puts your Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 on all of it. WASR-10s, Yugoslavian OPAP and NPAP rifles, plus Polish, East German, Romanian, and Russian parts-kit builds all typically wear this thread pattern under the muzzle device. If you own a Wolverine and an Eastern European pattern AK, this is very likely the first insert you'll reach for, and there's a good chance it's the only one you'll need for most of the safe.

How the Wolverine Insert System Works

Dead Air designed the Wolverine around swappable thread inserts so one suppressor can jump between hosts with completely different muzzle threads. The insert threads into the rear of the can and works together with a collar to keep everything aligned and locked down. The WV200 uses the standard M14 collar, which is the same one that ships with the Wolverine from the factory, so there's nothing extra to buy before you can run it. Spin off your muzzle device, thread on the can, and you're in business. Swapping inserts later takes minutes with the Wolverine wrench.

Built for AK Abuse

AK-pattern rifles are not gentle on suppressor mounts, and Dead Air knows it. This insert is machined from stainless steel and coated in black nitride, which shrugs off carbon, heat, and corrosion better than bare steel ever could. The precision-cut threads give the can consistent alignment shot after shot, which matters a lot when you're hanging a suppressor off a barrel that sees full-power 7.62×39.

One Detail Worth Checking First

Before ordering, confirm your barrel's actual thread pitch. Century's US-made rifles like the RAS-47, C39, and VSKA use a longer 14×1 LH thread and take the WV210 insert instead. If your rifle is an import or a kit build on a standard barrel, the WV200 is the right call.
