Rimfire cans have one universal headache: lead fouling. Dead Air went after that problem from two directions with the RXD22Ti. First, the included XRF muzzle brake is designed to capture lead at the mount before it migrates into the suppressor. Second, the core itself is a 3D-printed, PVD-coated single piece, so there is no stack of individual baffles to fight apart when cleaning day rolls around. Between the two, you spend more time shooting and a lot less time scraping.
The RXD22Ti came out of the RXD line, a joint effort between Dead Air Silencers and Ruger, and the pedigree shows. The tube and retaining cap are 6AL4V titanium wrapped in a High-Temp Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish, bringing the whole setup to 5.6 ounces with the brake and just 4.6 ounces without it. At 5.6 inches long and 1.1 inches in diameter, it disappears on the end of a Mark IV or 10/22 without making the gun feel nose-heavy or dragging down your sight picture.
This is more than a plinking can. It is rated for .22 LR, .22 Mag, .17 HMR, .17 WSM, and 5.7×28 with an 850 ft-lb muzzle energy ceiling and no barrel length restrictions. Full auto is approved with .22 LR, while the hotter magnum rimfire rounds are semi-auto rated. That range covers everything from backyard squirrel rifles to a suppressed 5.7 pistol with one tax stamp.
The XRF brake threads on at 1/2×28, which covers the vast majority of threaded rimfire barrels out there, and the quick-detach interface means swapping the can between hosts takes seconds instead of a trip to the workbench. A wrench kit comes in the box for installation and takedown. For anyone building out a rimfire trainer, a small game rig, or just wanting quiet range sessions, this one earns its spot in the safe.
