By 3D printing the can from Grade 5 6Al-4V titanium, Dead Air got the body down to 12.9 ounces, or 15.4 ounces with the included Xemax adapter. For a suppressor rated up to .33XC with a 6,800 ft-lb energy rating, that weight is genuinely impressive.
Inside, the Nomax 33 runs an enhanced version of the two-stage coaxial baffle system from Dead Air's Nomad line, beefed up with pressure-harnessing structures built specifically for magnum big-bore cartridges. The design regulates the extreme pressures of rounds like .338 Lapua Mag while still performing well with subsonic 8.6 Blackout, so one can covers your long-range rig and your suppressed hunting setup. The additive manufacturing isn't just a weight trick either. The monolithic printed structure adds strength and improves thermal management, and the baffle geometry helps tame felt recoil and keep point of impact shift to a minimum so you can spot your own hits through the glass.
This configuration wears a flat dark earth high-temp Cerakote finish and ships ready to mount, with the DA150 Xemax muzzle brake in 5/8-24 and the DA456HT Xemax adapter in the box. The can is also HUB compatible, so it plays nicely with KeyMo, Xeno, and other HUB-pattern mounts if you want to spread it across multiple rifles. At 9.1 inches for the body and 9.6 inches with the adapter, it keeps your overall rifle length manageable. Keep in mind there is an 18-inch barrel minimum for .338 Lapua. Whether you're stretching a PRS rifle past a thousand yards or packing an 8.6 Blackout into the backcountry, this is one of the lightest ways to suppress a .33 caliber rifle without giving anything up.
The Nomax 33 is rated all the way up to .33XC with a 6,800 ft-lb energy rating, which covers heavy hitters like .338 Lapua Mag and .338 Win Mag. It also does a great job with 8.6 Blackout, including subsonic loads, and you can run smaller cartridges like .308 through it as well. Just note the 18-inch minimum barrel length when shooting .338 Lapua.
