There is a reason the Nomad-Ti XC has become the go-to can for backcountry hunters, and it comes down to ounces. Dead Air took the proven Nomad baffle design, rebuilt it using additive manufacturing, and ended up with a Grade 5 6Al-4V titanium suppressor that weighs 7.4 ounces bare and 9.6 ounces with the direct thread mount installed. That is a number you feel at the end of a long stalk, especially on a mountain rifle where every bit of weight past the balance point matters. At 6.74 inches in this direct thread configuration, it stays compact enough to keep a hunting rifle handy in tight timber.
The XC stands for Cross-Country, and the changes go beyond shaving weight. The enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system uses pressure-harnessing structures that regulate both low-pressure subsonic loads and high-pressure magnum rounds, so it performs whether you are running quiet .300 Blackout or full-power .30-06. That design also improves gas jetting and cuts back pressure compared to traditional stacks, which your ears and your semi-auto will both appreciate. A replaceable front cap and aggressive external tooling flats round out a can built to be used hard, not babied.
This version ships with a 5/8×24 direct thread HUB mount pre-installed, the simplest and lightest way to run it. Since it is built on the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern, you can swap to Dead Air's Xeno or KeyMo systems later without buying another suppressor. Caliber-wise it is rated up to .300 Remington Ultra Mag with a 4,400 ft-lb energy ceiling, so it covers 5.56 carbines (12.5 inch barrel minimum) all the way through big .30 caliber magnums. The FDE Cerakote finish blends in nicely on a hunting rig and shrugs off weather, and Dead Air backs the whole thing with a lifetime warranty. If you have been waiting for a titanium .30 cal can that disappears on the rifle, this is the one worth the paperwork.
It is rated up to .300 Remington Ultra Mag with a 4,400 ft-lb energy ceiling, which covers just about every common rifle cartridge from .223/5.56 up through .30 caliber magnums. Keep in mind the barrel restrictions: 12.5 inches minimum for supersonic 5.56 NATO and 6 inches for subsonic .300 Blackout. It is not rated for full auto fire.

The XC uses additive manufacturing to build an enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system that the original did not have. That translates to a lighter can with better sound suppression and noticeably less back pressure, plus improved strength per ounce. It is currently Dead Air's lightest .30 caliber suppressor.
In this direct thread configuration, you are adding 9.6 ounces to the end of your barrel, and the bare body is just 7.4 ounces. That is light enough that most hunting rifles still balance and swing well with it mounted. For comparison, plenty of traditional .30 cal cans run 14 to 20 ounces.
