Description
The Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II is a two-piece, free-floating handguard developed for the SOPMOD II program to allow integration of an M203 without additional parts. Constructed from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum with a Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodized Flat Dark Earth finish, it provides a continuous upper rail and Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny rails for accessories. The design uses a battle-proven 6-bolt bolt-up system and a steel barrel nut to secure the handguard to the upper receiver. It is intended for AR-platform rifles and is specified for use with a carbine gas system.
