Description
Daniel Defense built the DDM4 V7 Pro for one job: getting fast, accurate hits on demanding multi-gun stages. The heart of the rifle is an 18-inch cold hammer forged barrel in Daniel Defense's S2W profile, made from chrome moly vanadium steel with a chrome-lined bore, 1:7 twist, and HP/MPI testing. Pair that with a rifle-length gas system and the recoil impulse smooths way out, which means quicker follow-up shots and less fatigue over a long range day. Up front, the Gen II Muzzle Climb Mitigator vents gas through calibrated ports to keep the muzzle planted, and the 1/2×28 threads leave the door open for other devices down the road.
A Trigger That Earns the Pro Name
The factory-installed Geissele SD-3G is the kind of upgrade most people add to a rifle later, and here it comes standard. The light, short pull and fast reset are a big part of why this platform runs so well at speed. The MFR 15.0 free-float handguard keeps weight down and heat manageable, with M-LOK slots at seven positions and a full-length Picatinny top rail so you can stretch out your optic, iron sights, lights, or a bipod however you like. The receivers are CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat anodized finish, and the bolt carrier group is an M16 profile unit with a properly staked gas key, so the internals match the rest of the build.
How the DDM4 V7 Pro Fixed-Magazine Setup Works
This version of the V7 Pro ships with the magazine locked into the receiver. To swap magazines, you pull the extended rear takedown pin, which has a cord attached to make it easier, separate the upper from the lower, and drop the magazine free. Close it back up and you are ready to run again. It comes with one 10-round magazine, a six-position stock and pistol grip with SoftTouch overmolding, and the GRIP-N-RIP charging handle that works cleanly from either side. At 7.4 pounds, it carries its 18-inch barrel well and balances nicely with an optic mounted.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you change magazines on the CA-compliant DDM4 V7 Pro?
The magazine stays locked in the receiver while the rifle is assembled. To swap it, you pull the extended rear takedown pin, which has a cord attached to make the process easier, pivot the upper away from the lower, and remove the magazine. Once the fresh magazine is in, close the action back up and you are good to go.
What trigger comes in the DDM4 V7 Pro?
It ships with a Geissele SD-3G, the Super Dynamic 3-Gun trigger, installed from the factory. It is a single-stage design with a light, short pull and quick reset built for fast, accurate shooting. That is a serious upgrade over the mil-spec triggers found in most factory rifles.
Does the DDM4 V7 Pro come with sights?
No, this rifle is optic ready and does not include sights. The uninterrupted Picatinny top rail runs the full length of the receiver and MFR 15.0 handguard, giving you plenty of room for a red dot, LPVO, or backup irons with a generous sight radius.
Is the 18-inch barrel worth it over a 16-inch model?
For competition and longer-range work, yes. The extra two inches of the cold hammer forged S2W barrel adds muzzle velocity, which means flatter trajectories and more energy on distant targets. Combined with the rifle-length gas system, it also softens the recoil impulse noticeably compared to shorter carbine setups.
