The Daisy Red Ryder Shooting Gallery takes the classic Red Ryder experience and gives it a home base. It's a complete cardboard target box built for BB guns, with a rubber backstop that catches your shots and a bottom trap that collects most BBs so you can load them right back up. Whether you're setting up in the backyard, the garage, or a corner of the basement, it turns a plain BB gun into an afternoon of steady plinking.
Setup is about as easy as it gets. You punch out the perforated front panel, hang one of the 25 included paper targets, and you're ready to shoot in seconds. No tools, no fuss. It hangs in place, so you can position it at a comfortable distance and let a kid or a crowd take turns firing away at bullseyes and old-school gallery scenes.
The rubber backing is rated to stop BBs traveling up to 350 fps, which lines up perfectly with the low-velocity springers like the Red Ryder itself. The trap-and-reuse design keeps you from constantly buying more ammo and cuts down on BBs scattered across the yard. It's a small thing that makes a big difference over a long shooting session.
A few practical tips from years behind the counter: always pair this with safety glasses, since low-powered BB guns are known for the occasional ricochet. Set your distance so shots group nicely on the paper, and swap targets as they fill up to keep score honest. It also makes a genuinely great gift alongside a Red Ryder BB gun, a tube of Daisy BBs, and a pair of shooting glasses. The retro 1940s wild-west packaging is a nice bonus that fits right in with the Red Ryder legend. Add your own BB gun and you've got everything you need to build real marksmanship fundamentals while having a blast.
The box uses a rubber backing that stops BBs traveling up to 350 fps, and a trap at the bottom collects most of them as they drop. That lets you scoop up the caught BBs and reload, which saves ammo and keeps them from scattering around the yard. Keep in mind it collects most BBs, not every single one.
Not at all. You punch out the perforated front panel, hang one of the included paper targets, and you're ready to shoot in seconds. No tools are required, so a kid can get it going with a little supervision.
It's designed around the Red Ryder and other low-velocity BB guns, since the rubber backing is rated to stop BBs up to 350 fps. It pairs perfectly with the classic Red Ryder platform. Higher-powered air guns that exceed that velocity are not a good match for this box.
Yes, it's built for both indoor and outdoor practice, so a garage or basement corner works fine. Always wear safety glasses when shooting, since low-powered BB guns can throw the occasional ricochet. Set a safe backdrop and a comfortable shooting distance and you're good to go.
