New to muzzleloading, or just tired of hunting down loose accessories one at a time? The CVA Essentials Accessory Outfit gathers the core loading and cleaning gear a .50 caliber pellet shooter needs into one tidy package. This is the pared-down version of CVA's larger accessory outfit, so you get the pieces that matter most without paying for extras you may never touch. It works with any brand of .50 caliber inline muzzleloader, not just CVA rifles, which makes it a solid grab whether you run a Wolf, an Optima, or something from another maker.
Inside you'll find PowerBelt hollow point bullets, a PowerBelt SpeedClip loader built for pelletized powder, and a universal bullet starter with tips to help seat different projectile shapes without deforming them. PowerBelt bullets use a belted base that seals against the bore for a good gas seal and reliable accuracy, which is a big reason they've stayed popular with pellet shooters for so long. The SpeedClip design lets you stage a bullet and pellet charge together for quicker follow-up loading in the field.
Black powder and substitutes are corrosive, so cleaning after every outing is part of the deal. This outfit covers that with CVA's Barrel Blaster solvent, cleaning patches, a cleaning brush, and a breech brush to reach the tougher spots around the breech plug. There's also breech plug and nipple grease to keep threads from seizing under high heat, which anyone who's ever fought a stuck breech plug will appreciate.
CVA rounds things out with their Blackpowder 101 instructional video, a genuinely helpful walkthrough if you're loading and shooting a muzzleloader for the first time. Bottom line, this kit gets you most of the way there. Grab your pellets or loose powder and 209 primers, and you're ready to hit the range.
No. The kit gives you the bullets, loader, and cleaning gear, but you'll still need to supply your own pellets or loose powder and 209 primers. That's standard for these accessory outfits since powder and primer preferences vary from shooter to shooter and rifle to rifle.
Yes. The Essentials Accessory Outfit is compatible with any brand of .50 caliber inline muzzleloader, so it pairs fine with rifles from other makers as well as CVA models like the Wolf and Optima. Just make sure your rifle is a .50 caliber bore.
The Essentials version is a scaled-down kit that covers the core loading and cleaning items most shooters actually use. The larger Muzzleloading Accessory Outfit adds more speed loaders and extra tools. If you want a straightforward starter without the extras, the Essentials Outfit hits the sweet spot.
It's a great starting point. You get PowerBelt bullets, a SpeedClip loader, a bullet starter, and a complete cleaning setup, plus the Blackpowder 101 video that walks you through the basics. Add your pellets and primers and you'll have nearly everything needed to load, shoot, and maintain your rifle.
