The 22 Creedmoor has become one of the hottest cartridges in the varmint and predator world, and CVA put it in a rifle that keeps things refreshingly simple. The Scout is a break-action single shot, which means fewer parts, less weight, and a slim profile that carries all day without complaint. Drop a round in, close the action, and you have a flat-shooting rig that pushes light .22 caliber bullets at eye-watering speeds while barely nudging your shoulder.
CVA fits this Scout with a fluted carbon steel barrel wearing a matte blued finish, and the muzzle comes threaded from the factory so adding a suppressor or muzzle device is a five-minute job instead of a gunsmith trip. Up top, the factory-installed DuraSight rail base gives you a solid mounting platform for a scope right out of the box, which is exactly how most folks will run this rifle since it has no iron sights. The Stealth Gray synthetic stock shrugs off weather and rough truck rides, and the CrushZone recoil pad soaks up what little kick the 22 Creedmoor produces. A hammer block safety rounds out the package.

There are no iron sights, but CVA installs a DuraSight rail base at the factory so the rifle is optic-ready out of the box. You will need to supply your own rings and scope. Given how flat the 22 Creedmoor shoots, a quality variable-power scope is the way to get the most out of it.
It is a classic break action. Release the barrel, drop a round in the chamber, close it up, and cock the exposed hammer when you are ready. A hammer block safety adds a layer of security, and the simple design means there is very little to go wrong in the field.
