The Cascade XTS is CVA's take on a do-it-all magnum hunter, and this one is chambered in the ever-popular .300 Winchester Magnum. What sets the XTS apart from the rest of the Cascade family is its shorter 20-inch barrel, a factory set of Marbles iron sights, and a two-tone Tungsten and Black Cerakote finish that looks as good as it holds up in the field. The 1:10 twist barrel wears a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle fitted with CVA's Omni directional muzzle brake, so the stout recoil of a .300 Win Mag gets knocked down to something you can shoot comfortably through a long range session.
That 20-inch tube is a nice middle ground. It trims length and weight compared to the longer magnum barrels out there while still giving you plenty of velocity for elk, mule deer, bear, and other big game across open country. The threaded muzzle means you can run the included Omni brake or swap in a suppressor or brake of your choosing down the road. CVA builds the barreled action to pair with their accuracy guarantee, and the free-floated barrel sitting in a fiberglass reinforced stock helps keep groups tight.
The bolt runs a 70 degree throw with an oversized knob, giving you fast cycling and enough clearance for low mounted optics. A two-position safety sits within easy reach behind the bolt handle, and the trigger is user adjustable so you can dial pull weight to your liking. The synthetic stock carries a SoftTouch finish for a sure grip in wet or cold conditions, adjustable length of pull by way of a removable spacer, and dual front swivel studs so you can run a sling and bipod at the same time.
This XTS ships with iron sights mounted and ready, which is a nice touch for a backup aiming option or for running it iron-only in thick timber.
