CVA Cascade 22-250 Rem Bolt Action Rifle, 22″ Threaded, OD Green

Description

The .22-250 Remington has been putting coyotes down and turning heads at the range for decades, and the CVA Cascade gives that flat-shooting cartridge a modern home without a custom-shop price tag. This CR3908G model wears a 22 inch 4140 carbon steel barrel in Graphite Black Cerakote, matched up with an OD green synthetic stock that looks right at home in sage brush or a winter fencerow. The muzzle comes threaded from the factory with a protector installed, so adding a brake or suppressor down the road takes minutes, not a trip to the gunsmith.

What Makes the Cascade Worth a Look

CVA built the Cascade around a three-lug bolt with a short 70 degree throw. That means you get plenty of clearance under bigger scope bells and a fast, positive cycle when you need a quick second shot. The 1:12 twist barrel is well suited to the 50 to 55 grain bullets most .22-250 fans run, and CVA backs the rifle with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee using quality factory ammo. Feeding comes from a flush-fit detachable 4-round magazine, and a simple two-position safety sits right where your thumb expects it.

A Stock That Earns Its Keep

The fiberglass-reinforced stock has CVA's SoftTouch finish, a slightly tacky texture that stays grippy with cold or wet hands. A removable spacer lets you adjust length of pull, which is handy for smaller-framed hunters or anyone layering up in heavy winter gear. Dual front swivel studs mean you can run a bipod and a sling at the same time, a small detail that varmint hunters appreciate once they've tried it.

Setting Up the CVA Cascade 22-250 for Optics

There are no iron sights here, and there shouldn't be on a rifle like this. The receiver is drilled and tapped and takes the same two-piece mounts made for Savage 110 AccuTrigger rifles, so ring and base options are everywhere. Add a good scope with some magnification and this Cascade is ready to reach across a bean field.
