The 6mm ARC has quickly become the round of choice for folks who want real long-range punch out of a standard AR-15 without stepping up to a heavier AR-10. This CMMG Resolute MK4 Upper Group brings that capability to a lower you already own. It's a complete, assembled upper that pairs with any standard AR-15 pattern lower, so getting into 6mm ARC doesn't mean buying a whole new rifle. Bolt it on, add an optic, and you're set.
At the heart of it is a 16.1" 416 stainless steel barrel with a 1:7.5 twist, which is dialed in to stabilize the heavier high-BC match bullets in the 103 to 108 grain range that let 6mm ARC really stretch its legs. You get a rifle-length gas system running off a .750 non-adjustable gas block, a CMMG ZEROED muzzle brake threaded 5/8×24, and the whole thing runs on a straightforward direct impingement setup. The billet 6061-T6 aluminum flat-top receiver is optic ready and slick-topped for a clean sight line.
CMMG wraps the barrel in their EML15 M-LOK handguard, with attachment slots at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions for lights, bipods, and hand stops. It ships with a full bolt carrier group plus the ZEROED ambidextrous charging handle and polymer dust cover, so it's a genuine turnkey upper rather than a parts list. The Armor Black Cerakote finish holds up well against the weather and looks sharp doing it.
Where 6mm ARC shines is versatility. It shoots flatter and bucks wind better than a .223 while kicking a lot less than a .308, which makes it a favorite for deer, antelope, and predators out to 400 yards and beyond, as well as ringing steel at extended range. Even from this 16.1" barrel, it holds enough velocity for effective medium-game work. CMMG backs the build with their Lifetime Quality Guarantee.
Yes. It's built to pair with any standard AR-15 pattern lower group, so you don't need a dedicated or specialty lower. Just make sure you're running 6mm ARC magazines, since standard 5.56 mags won't feed this round properly.
It does. This is a complete upper that ships with a full bolt carrier group, the ZEROED ambidextrous charging handle, and a polymer dust cover already installed. The only things you'll need to supply are a lower, an optic or sights, and magazines.
The 6mm ARC is a flat-shooting, low-recoil round that outperforms .223 downrange while staying lighter than a .308 setup. Even from a 16.1" barrel it holds plenty of velocity for medium game like deer and antelope out to 400 yards or so, and it's a solid choice for ringing steel at extended range. The 1:7.5 twist is set up to stabilize the heavier match bullets that make the cartridge sing.
This upper is optic ready with a flat-top receiver but ships without sights or an optic. You'll want to add a scope, red dot, or iron sights to suit how you plan to shoot it. Given the long-range strengths of 6mm ARC, most folks pair it with a magnified optic.
