There are plenty of 9mm AR pistols out there, but the Banshee MkGs is the one that made a lot of people rethink what a pistol caliber gun should feel like. Instead of a heavy bolt slamming back and forth like a standard blowback design, CMMG built this one around their Radial Delayed Blowback system, which delays the bolt just long enough to soften the recoil impulse noticeably. The result is a quicker, flatter-shooting gun that gets back on target fast, and it cycles both subsonic and supersonic loads without complaint. If you ever plan on running a can, that matters.
CMMG's original MkG platform fed from .45 ACP Glock mags, and the MkGs was the answer to everyone asking for the same thing in 9mm. The dedicated lower accepts double stack 9mm Glock-pattern magazines, which is a real convenience since those mags are affordable, proven, and stocked just about everywhere. You get a 33 round stick in the box, last round bolt hold open, and an ambidextrous 60/90 degree safety, so it handles like a proper AR rather than a converted one.
The 8 inch 4140 chrome moly barrel wears a salt bath nitride finish and 1/2×28 threads, capped with CMMG's ZEROED linear compensator that pushes blast forward instead of back at you. The upper is machined billet aluminum over a forged 7075-T6 lower, all dressed in that clean Tungsten gray Cerakote. The EML M-LOK handguard gives you full-length slots on the sides and bottom plus a Picatinny top rail for optics, and the quick-deploying RipBrace extends with a simple pull.

The MkGs lower is purpose-built for double stack 9mm Glock-pattern magazines, and it ships with one 33-round mag. Factory Glock mags and quality aftermarket versions like Magpul GL9 PMAGs run well in it. That makes spare mags cheap and easy to find compared to proprietary designs.
Most 9mm AR pistols use straight blowback, which relies on a heavy bolt and stiff buffer to contain the cartridge, and you feel all that mass moving. CMMG's Radial Delayed Blowback uses a rotating bolt to briefly delay opening, which allows a lighter bolt and a noticeably softer recoil impulse. In practice the gun shoots flatter and follow-up shots come quicker.
