The 10mm Auto is a cartridge that rewards barrel length, and that is exactly the thinking behind the Banshee Mk10. Its 8 inch barrel pulls noticeably more velocity out of the round than a full-size handgun can, which turns an already stout cartridge into a genuinely capable option for home defense, woods duty, and range work. The barrel itself is 4140CM chrome-moly steel with a salt bath nitride finish and a 1:16 twist that stabilizes heavy bullets well. The muzzle is threaded 0.578×28 and wears CMMG's ZEROED linear compensator from the factory, which pushes blast forward and takes some snap out of each shot. Pull the comp off and you have a suppressor-ready host waiting to happen.
Most pistol caliber ARs run straight blowback, which means a heavy bolt slamming around every time you pull the trigger. CMMG went a different route. Their Radial Delayed Blowback system uses a rotating multi-lug bolt to spread the recoil impulse out over time, so a hot 10mm load feels far more manageable than it has any right to. The bolt also locks back on an empty magazine, something plenty of PCCs skip, and it feeds from affordable, easy-to-find Glock-pattern 10mm mags. One 15-round magazine comes in the box.
The upper is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, the lower is forged 7075-T6, and the whole thing wears Armor Black Cerakote. The EML7 handguard gives you 7 inches of M-LOK real estate for lights and hand stops, and the flat top rail is ready for the red dot of your choice since no sights are included. CMMG's ZEROED parts kit comes standard here too: a drop-in trigger, ambidextrous charging handle, and an ambi 60/90 degree safety, all backed by CMMG's lifetime quality guarantee. At 23.8 inches overall and right around 5 pounds, the Mk10 stays compact enough to stash by the bed or behind the truck seat while hitting well above its size.
The Mk10 feeds from double-stack 10mm Glock-pattern magazines, the same ones that fit a Glock 20. That is a big plus since they are affordable, easy to find, and proven reliable. One 15-round magazine ships with this configuration, and higher capacity Glock-pattern mags will run in it as well.
No, this pistol ships optics ready with a bare Picatinny top rail. Most owners pair it with a red dot, and a riser mount can help get the dot to a comfortable height on this platform. The M-LOK handguard gives you plenty of room for a light or other accessories too.
Yes. The 8 inch barrel is threaded 0.578×28 under the factory-installed ZEROED linear compensator, so you can spin the comp off and mount a can with the right thread pitch or an adapter. CMMG's Radial Delayed Blowback system also tends to run cleaner and softer suppressed than straight blowback designs.
Noticeably softer than a straight blowback gun. CMMG's Radial Delayed Blowback uses a rotating bolt to slow the action opening, which lets them run a lighter bolt and spread the recoil impulse over a longer window. Combined with the linear comp, full-power 10mm loads stay flat and quick to get back on target.
