Building a .350 Legend upper doesn't have to be a headache, and CMMG's Barrel Sub-Assembly takes a big chunk of the guesswork out of it. This is a 16.1-inch barrel machined from 4140 chromoly steel with a Salt Bath Nitride (SBN) finish, and it arrives with the M4 barrel extension already installed and properly headspaced. That means you can drop it into your Mk4 or standard AR-15 upper build without sweating the fitment and headspacing steps that trip up a lot of first-time builders.
The barrel runs a 1:16 twist, which is the standard rate for .350 Legend and pairs well with the common 145 to 165 grain hunting and range loads. It wears a medium taper profile for a solid balance of weight and stiffness, a .750" gas block journal, and a carbine-length gas system. The muzzle comes threaded 1/2×28, so mounting a brake, flash hider, or other muzzle device is plug-and-play with most standard AR accessories.
The .350 Legend was built by Winchester as a straight-wall cartridge that runs in the AR-15 platform, and it has become a favorite among deer and hog hunters in the Midwest.
