The .300 Blackout cartridge was built from the ground up to run in compact AR platforms, and the Banshee MK4 gives it a proper home. CMMG fitted this one with a 12.5 inch medium taper barrel in 4140 chrome moly steel, treated with a salt bath nitride finish that shrugs off wear and corrosion. The 1:7 twist stabilizes everything from light supersonic loads to heavy 220 grain subsonics, and the pistol-length gas system keeps it cycling reliably across the board. The muzzle wears CMMG's ZEROED linear compensator on 5/8×24 threads, which pushes blast forward and away from you. Spin it off and you have a ready platform for a suppressor, which is exactly where this cartridge shines.
Rather than shipping a bare bones gun you upgrade later, CMMG loads the Banshee with its ZEROED component line from the factory. That means a drop-in single stage trigger, an ambidextrous safety selector with a choice of 60 or 90 degree throw, ambi charging handle, ambi mag catch with an extended release button, plus the ZEROED pistol grip and polymer dust cover. The billet 6061 upper and forged 7075 lower wear a Tungsten gray Cerakote finish that looks sharp and holds up to real use. Out back, the six position receiver extension carries CMMG's RipBrace, which deploys to your preset length with one quick pull.
The 7 inch EML handguard runs full length M-LOK slots along both sides and the bottom, with additional M-LOK real estate between the top Picatinny sections, so lights, lasers, and hand stops all have a place to live. And since the Banshee is built on CMMG's MK4 AR-15 platform, swapping triggers, grips, or other parts down the road is as simple as it gets.
