CMMG took the familiar AR manual of arms and rebuilt it around their patent-pending Compact Action, which tucks the entire recoil system into the upper receiver. Chambered in 22 ARC, this Dissent Mk4 pushes light .22 caliber bullets at velocities that chase 22-250 territory, but it does it from a detachable magazine platform with controls any AR shooter already knows cold.

The muzzle wears CMMG's Zeroed brake from the factory, and the 1/2-28 threads mean swapping to a suppressor is quick work. That is where the adjustable gas block earns its keep. Dial the gas down for suppressed shooting or fine tune it to your favorite load so the action runs smooth instead of overgassed and gritty.
The forward non-reciprocating side charger lets you run the bolt without breaking your grip or coming off target, and it can be swapped to either side of the receiver. CMMG's Zeroed drop-in single stage trigger gives you a clean, consistent break, while the Zeroed 60/90 degree safety selector offers a shorter throw for faster manipulation. 22 ARC is Hornady's Advanced Rifle Cartridge in .22 caliber, built to deliver velocity in the neighborhood of the classic 22-250 from a magazine-fed AR platform. From the 16.1 inch barrel it shoots very flat with mild recoil, which makes it a strong pick for varmint and predator work, steel at distance, and general precision fun. It runs on a 6.5 Grendel bolt pattern, so the platform stays familiar.
