Every once in a while a suppressor comes along that makes the whole range stop and look. The CMMG DL-44 is that can. Styled after a certain smuggler's sidearm from a galaxy far, far away, it looks like a flash hider cone straight off the silver screen, but inside it runs the exact same baffle stack and front cap as CMMG's ZEROED 22K. That means you get genuine, proven rimfire suppression wrapped in a package that turns any threaded .22 into a blaster.
CMMG built this thing out of real materials, not novelty fluff. The construction mixes 6061-T6 aluminum, 17-4 stainless steel, and 4140 chromoly, finished off with anodizing, heat treat, and Cerakote. At 4.5 inches long and just 7.7 ounces, it stays light and compact enough to live on a pistol without turning it nose heavy. The 1/2×28 direct thread mount spins onto pretty much any threaded rimfire host, whether that's a 10/22, a Ruger Mark IV, or one of CMMG's own .22 LR pistols.
Anyone who runs a rimfire can knows .22 LR is filthy, so serviceability matters. The DL-44 comes apart with removable end caps and baffles, and indexing marks on the baffles take the guesswork out of reassembly so your suppression stays consistent after every cleaning. There's even a hex opening in the front cap that accepts a 1/4 inch allen wrench, giving you extra leverage if carbon buildup has the threads feeling stubborn.
Plenty of .22 suppressors perform well. Very few of them make people grin the second you pull them out of the bag. The DL-44 does both, backing up the sci-fi looks with the same sound performance CMMG's ZEROED line is known for. Bolt it on, load up some subsonics, and settle the old debate about who shot first yourself.
The DL-44 is rated for .22 LR, .17 HMR, and .22 WMR. It uses the same baffle stack and front cap as CMMG's ZEROED 22K, so you're getting the same sound suppression as that proven rimfire can. For the quietest results, run subsonic .22 LR ammo through it.
If your barrel is threaded 1/2×28, you're in business. That's the standard thread pattern for most rimfire hosts, including the Ruger 10/22 and Mark IV, S&W Victory, and CMMG's own .22 LR pistols. It's a direct thread mount, so it just spins right on with no adapters needed.
