A 416R stainless steel core gets button rifling, hand lapping, and a match chamber, then it is wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber for stiffness, weight savings, and better heat management. It is free-floated in a spot-bedded stock, cut with a 1:10 twist that stabilizes the full range of .308 Win bullet weights, and threaded at the muzzle with a stainless side-baffle brake installed. Spin the brake off and you are suppressor-ready. Christensen backs the whole setup with their Sub-MOA Guarantee, which is not something you see on many hunting rifles at this weight.
The stainless receiver follows the familiar Remington 700 footprint and comes topped with a 0-MOA Picatinny rail, so mounting glass takes minutes instead of an afternoon. The spiral-fluted bolt runs an enlarged handle that is easy to work with gloves on, and the TriggerTech trigger breaks clean and consistent, shot after shot. Feeding comes from a 4+1 internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, which keeps the belly of the rifle slick for carrying and means there is no detachable mag to lose on a mountainside.
The .308 Win is about as versatile as hunting cartridges get, with ammo on every shelf and plenty of punch for deer, hogs, and elk at reasonable ranges.
