That piece on the back that looks like a hammer is really a cocking lever. The true hammer lives inside the frame, fully enclosed, with a red cocked indicator so you always know the gun's status. You get genuine double action and single action operation without anything to snag. The frame is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy to keep weight down around 33 ounces, while the barrel and six-shot cylinder are steel where it counts. The whole package wears a bright nickel-plated finish that looks fantastic against the medium walnut grips.

Firing from the bottom chamber lowers the bore axis so the barrel sits nearly in line with your hand and wrist. That geometry sends recoil straight back instead of flipping the muzzle up, which makes magnum loads easier to control and speeds up follow-up shots. No, the external piece is a cocking lever. The actual hammer is fully enclosed inside the frame, and a red indicator shows when the internal hammer is cocked. You still get true single action and double action fire, just without an exposed hammer to snag.
The three included moon clips hold a full six rounds together so you can drop them into the cylinder as a single unit, similar to using a speedloader. They also make ejecting empties quick and clean. A removal tool comes in the box for popping spent cases off the clips.
