The Bulldog has been a big-bore favorite since the 1970s, but most of them wear stubby barrels built for carry. The Target Bulldog flips that script. Charter Arms took the same rugged five-shot .44 Special platform and gave it a full 6 inch barrel, an adjustable rear sight, and a matte stainless finish across the frame, barrel, and cylinder. The result is a wheelgun that rewards careful trigger work at distances where a snub nose starts to struggle.
That long barrel does two things for you. It stretches the sight radius, which makes lining up precise shots noticeably easier, and it squeezes extra velocity out of the .44 Special cartridge.
