The bolt carrier, feed ramp, and front trunnion are machined from heat-treated S7 tool steel, a material chosen for its shock resistance under hard use. The bolt is carburized 4140 steel, the 16.5 inch chrome-moly barrel runs a 1:10 twist, and the whole thing rides on a stamped receiver like a proper AKM. Century's RAK-1 enhanced trigger group rounds it out with a lighter, smoother pull that also cuts down on trigger slap, which anyone who has run a surplus-grade AK trigger will appreciate.
