Manufactured by MKE in Turkey on original H&K licensed tooling and machinery, this is not a rough clone or a budget knockoff — it is a genuinely well-built roller-delayed blowback pistol that traces its DNA directly back to the German engineering that made the MP5 family a global standard. That means you have flexibility — run a quick-detach suppressor via the 3-lug mount for fast on/off, or thread on a direct-thread 9mm can if that is what you already own. The included faux suppressor screws on via the 1/2×28 threads and does double duty as a thread protector when you are not running a real can.
Unlike the standard AP5 or the AP5-P, the AP5-SD wears the full SD treatment: the wider shrouded handguard, the longer profile, and pictogram markings on the Navy-style lower. The ambidextrous selector switch works from either side, and the claw-mounted 1913 Picatinny rail drops onto the receiver for optics without any permanent modification.
