The Canik METE SFx pairs a flat dark earth polymer frame with a black nitride steel slide, and underneath the good looks is a full-size 9mm built with competition and serious range work in mind. The 5.2 inch match-grade barrel gives you a longer sight radius and a little extra velocity, while the striker-fired action delivers the crisp, short-reset trigger pull Canik has built its reputation on. At around 30 ounces, it has enough heft to soak up recoil and stay flat through fast strings.
The METE series brought real ergonomic upgrades over the older TP9 line, and the SFx got all of them. An integrally flared magwell funnels magazines home under pressure, the double undercut trigger guard and aggressive grip texture lock your hands in place, and interchangeable backstraps let you dial in the fit. The slide wears front and rear serrations, and the angled rear sight edge lets you rack the gun one-handed off a belt or barricade if you ever need to. A loaded chamber indicator and reversible mag release round out the practical touches, and the 1913 rail up front handles lights and lasers without fuss.
The slide comes cut for micro red dots and includes two extra optic plates, covering popular footprints like the Shield RMS and Trijicon RMRcc so you can mount most of the common dots on the market. The white 3-dot sights are set up to co-witness, giving you a backup sight picture if your optic ever goes down mid-match.
Canik does not make you buy the extras separately. This package includes a hard case, an 18-round and a 20-round magazine, a polymer holster with paddle and belt attachments, a speed loader, extra backstraps, a tool kit with punch, and a cleaning kit. Between the trigger, the capacity, and everything in the box, this is a lot of pistol for the money, and it is a big reason the SFx keeps winning over match competitors and weekend range regulars alike.
