Built on the refined METE platform, the SFT PRO steps up from the standard SFT with a longer 5-inch chrome-plated, fluted barrel threaded at 1/2×28 for muzzle devices, plus an upgraded flat-face aluminum trigger and improved sights. The trigger is one of the first things people comment on with any Canik, and the SFT PRO's short-reset, 90-degree flat-face design is no exception. The SFT PRO ships with two adapter plates that support Trijicon RMR/SRO and Shield RMSc footprints, and it is also compatible with Canik's own ONYXc and PHANTOM optics. Note that the compatible optics footprint can vary depending on the serial number range, so it is worth checking Canik's current documentation to confirm compatibility for your specific serial number. Additional adapter plates for other popular red dots are widely available.
The barrel is threaded at 1/2×28, which is the standard thread pitch for 9mm muzzle devices in the U.S. market. This means it will accept the vast majority of 9mm suppressors, compensators, and muzzle brakes available from major manufacturers. The barrel ships with a thread protector cap installed.
The PRO model steps up with a longer 5-inch chrome-plated fluted threaded barrel versus the standard SFT's 4.46-inch barrel, plus an upgraded flat-face aluminum trigger with a 90-degree break in place of the standard polymer trigger. You also get Night Fision tritium front sights and a blacked-out serrated rear from the factory, which are meaningful upgrades over the base model's iron sights.
