The MA903 is the factory 15-round magazine for the Canik TP9 Elite SC, and it's worth noting that these mags aren't just stamped steel from a generic factory. They're produced by Mec-Gar, one of the most respected pistol magazine manufacturers in the world and the OEM supplier behind a long list of premium handgun makers. That means you're getting the same quality and tolerances that came with your pistol, not a knockoff.
The steel body features Mec-Gar's trademark seamless finish along with an internal anti-friction coating that keeps rounds feeding smoothly and makes loading noticeably easier, especially when you're pushing up to that 15th round. The anti-tilt polymer follower and high-quality spring work together to ensure positive feeding from the first shot to the last, which is exactly what you want from a carry mag or a dedicated range backup.
The grip extension baseplate is one of the main reasons people reach for this mag over the flush-fit 12-rounder. It adds a textured finger rest that matches the TP9 Elite SC's grip texture, giving your pinky a place to land and significantly improving your overall hold on the gun. Whether you're running it as a spare on your belt or just want a more comfortable feel at the range, the difference in control is noticeable.
Rear-facing numbered witness holes let you do a quick round count at a glance without stripping the mag, which is a small but genuinely useful detail. This magazine is compatible with the TP9 Elite SC, TP9 Elite SC CAS, METE SC, and METE SC Pro. It ships as a single magazine.
Yes, this is a genuine OEM magazine made to the same specifications as the one included with the pistol. It is produced by Mec-Gar, the same manufacturer Canik uses for their factory-supplied magazines. You are not getting an aftermarket substitute.
Yes. The MA903 is confirmed compatible with the TP9 Elite SC, TP9 Elite SC CAS, METE SC, and METE SC Pro. It is designed specifically for the subcompact frame variants in the Canik lineup and should not be used with full-size or compact TP9 models.
The TP9 Elite SC is a subcompact, so the standard flush-fit 12-round magazine leaves some shooters with their pinky floating under the grip. The grip extension on this 15-round mag gives you a textured finger rest that matches the frame's grip texture, improving your overall hold and control. Many people use the flush 12-rounder for carry and keep this 15-rounder as their spare for exactly that reason.
Factory Mec-Gar built magazines are generally considered the gold standard for fit and reliability in Canik pistols. They are machined to the exact tolerances of the platform, which means consistent lock-up, reliable feeding, and proper function with the slide stop. Aftermarket options exist but factory magazines are hard to beat for peace of mind, especially in a defensive role.
Yes, the MA903 features rear-facing numbered witness holes along the back of the magazine body. This lets you see at a glance how many rounds are loaded without having to drop the magazine, which is a convenient feature at the range or during a quick gear check.
