The Caldwell Accumax is the tall-legged member of the Accumax family, built for the shooter who needs more than a low prone rest. With an adjustable range that runs from 13 all the way to 30 inches, this bipod lets you set up steady from prone, sitting, kneeling, or perched on a hillside where the grass and brush would swallow a shorter set of legs. The carbon fiber construction keeps things light at right around 11 ounces, so you get the stability without hanging a brick off the front of your rifle.
The legs are the real story here. Each one twist-locks independently for fast, incremental height changes, and they fold forward at 90 degrees or swing back with spring-loaded buttons so you can tuck the whole thing out of the way when you're on the move. Secure leg stops keep them from overextending, and the soft rubber feet dig in on dirt, rock, or a shooting bench without sliding around on you.
Up top you get an omni-directional ball mount that gives you a full 360 degrees of panning plus cant adjustment, which is a big deal when you're leveling a rifle on uneven ground. A short-throw lever lock handle underneath takes you from loose to locked with barely any motion, so following a moving target or dialing in your position is quick and quiet.
This version ships with both M-LOK and KeyMod adapters, so it clamps directly and low-profile to a compatible handguard for a firm, recoil-ready connection. It's a solid pick for hunters working sloped or overgrown terrain and range folks who want one bipod that covers everything from the bench to a seated field position. Lightweight, quick to deploy, and adaptable to just about any shot you're setting up.
It comes with both M-LOK and KeyMod adapters, so it mounts directly to any compatible handguard. That covers most modern AR-platform rifles and other setups running M-LOK or KeyMod slots. The direct attachment sits low-profile and locks up firm enough to handle recoil from a range of calibers.
The extended 13 to 30 inch range isn't really about walking height, it's about shooting position. Those longer legs let you build a stable rest from a seated or kneeling position and get up over tall grass and brush where a short bipod would leave you no line of sight. It's a favorite for hunters working sloped or overgrown country.
Thanks to the carbon fiber legs, it tips the scale at right around 11 ounces. That keeps your rifle light and easy to carry on long days without giving up stability. Carbon fiber also helps dampen vibration, which is a nice bonus for shot consistency.
Yes. The omni-directional ball mount gives you a full 360 degrees of panning plus cant so you can level your rifle on uneven ground. A short-throw lever underneath lets you go from loose to locked with very little movement, which is handy for tracking a target or fine-tuning your position.
