The Citori has been earning its keep in duck blinds and on clays courses for over 50 years, and this version finally gives it a stock you don't have to babysit. Browning swapped the walnut for a composite stock and forearm with rubber overmolding at the grip points, so it stays put in your hands when the weather turns ugly and shrugs off the dings and scratches that would make you wince on a wood gun. The balance that made the Citori famous is still there, because underneath it all this is the same gun.
The engraved steel receiver runs a full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt, the setup that's kept these guns tight through generations of heavy use. The 26 inch blued barrels wear a floating vent rib with an ivory front bead and mid-bead, and the gun patterns at a 60/40 point of impact, which works nicely for both rising birds and clay targets. Chambers are 3 inch, so you can run everything from light target loads to stout waterfowl shells. Three flush-fit Invector-Plus choke tubes come in the box, Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder, covering most anything from close flushes over a pointer to longer pass shooting.
The adjustable comb is a feature you usually have to pay a stockmaker for. Dial in your cheek weld so your eye lines up straight down the rib, and the gun shoots where you look. The Inflex II recoil pad soaks up a surprising amount of thump and directs the comb down and away from your face, which you'll appreciate after a long day in the field or a full round of sporting clays.

The comb piece raises or lowers so you can fine-tune where your eye sits relative to the rib. On a shotgun, your eye is essentially the rear sight, so getting the comb height right means the gun shoots exactly where you're looking.
