The Buck Mark Plus Vision UFX is Browning's answer to shooters who want the accuracy the Buck Mark line is known for, without hauling around a chunk of solid steel out front. This blue anodized version pairs a black slide with a sleeved Vision barrel, giving it a look that stands out on the line while keeping the mechanics that have made the Buck Mark a mainstay in rimfire circles since the mid-80s.
Instead of a solid steel barrel, the Vision design uses a slimmer steel inner barrel tensioned inside an aluminum outer sleeve with sawtooth cutouts. The result is a pistol that carries almost nine ounces less up front than a comparable steel-barrel Buck Mark, which means less muzzle flip and quicker recovery between shots without giving up the accuracy the steel barrel provides.
The 5.9 inch barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and comes with a removable muzzle brake already installed, so it's set up for a suppressor from the start. A Picatinny rail sits just ahead of the rear sight for anyone who wants to add a red dot, while the TRUGLO/Marble Arms fiber-optic front sight and 16-click adjustable Pro-Target rear with white outline give you a solid iron sight setup if you'd rather stick with open sights.
The frame is CNC-machined 7075 aluminum, a Browning trademark that keeps tolerances tight and the pistol running reliably shot after shot. UFX overmolded grips wrap around a slim frame that fits a wide range of hand sizes, and the left-side thumb safety, slide release, and magazine release keep controls easy to reach. The slide has a built-in Picatinny rail section just ahead of the rear sight, so most red dots that use a Picatinny footprint will bolt right on. No adapter plate needed for most optics.
