The MK4 runs a gas piston system with a seven-lug rotating bolt that locks straight into the barrel, keeping the breech-to-chamber relationship tight and consistent. An action bar and inertia block setup cuts down barrel vibration, and an integral buffering system takes stress off the internals over years of magnum loads. One of the best parts of shooting a gas gun in .300 Win Mag is how much the action soaks up recoil, and the Inflex recoil pad knocks the rest of it down. It's a genuinely pleasant magnum to shoot, which is not something you say about many of them.
