The Stalker trim is the workhorse of the MK3 line. A matte black composite stock with overmolded grip panels shrugs off rain, snow, and scraped-up truck beds, and the matte blued barrel keeps glare down in the field. The stock is shim adjustable for cast and drop at comb, so you can fine-tune the fit to your build. The aluminum alloy receiver keeps overall weight to a manageable 7 pounds 8 ounces and comes drilled and tapped for scope mounts, since there are no iron sights and this rifle is clearly meant to wear glass. A crossbolt safety, gold-plated trigger, detachable 3-round box magazine with hinged floorplate, and included sling swivels round out a package that's ready for opening day right out of the box.

Milder than you'd expect from a magnum. The gas piston system absorbs a good chunk of the recoil impulse before it reaches your shoulder, and the polymer recoil pad helps too. Most folks find it noticeably softer shooting than a bolt action in the same chambering, which makes range sessions and follow-up shots a lot more pleasant.
It uses Browning's hinged floorplate design with a detachable 3-round box magazine attached to it. You can drop the floorplate to top off rounds without removing anything, or pop the magazine out entirely and swap in a loaded spare.
