The Black Rain Ordnance Spec+ Fusion in 300 Blackout wears a Zombie Green Battleworn finish that looks like it already has a few good stories to tell, and underneath that distressed green coat sits a properly built AR that Black Rain has been refining out of their Missouri shop for years.
The foundation is a set of Black Rain's Spec15 forged aluminum receivers, mated to a 16 inch SOCOM profile barrel cut from 4150V chromoly steel and capped with an A2 flash hider on a threaded muzzle. The bolt carrier group gets a salt bath nitride treatment, which is one of those details that pays off over time with smoother cycling and easier cleanup after a long range day. A low profile .750 gas block tucks neatly under the 12 inch slim M-LOK handguard, leaving you plenty of real estate for lights, hand stops, or a bipod. Furniture comes courtesy of Mission First Tactical with their Minimalist stock and EPG16 grip, keeping the whole package trim at around 7.3 pounds.

It runs standard AR pattern 5.56 magazines since 300 Blackout was designed to feed from them without modification. One 30-round magazine comes in the box. Just be careful to keep your 300 Blackout mags clearly marked if you also own a 5.56 rifle, since the rounds fit the same magazines.
