The Black Rain Ordnance SPEC15 A2 builds on a forged aluminum receiver set, a 16-inch 4150V chromoly barrel, and a carbine-length direct impingement gas system topped with the classic A2 front sight gas block. That fixed front sight means you have a rugged, always-there aiming reference out of the box, and the flat-top upper leaves plenty of room for a red dot or a flip-up rear if you want to run irons the traditional way. An A2 flash hider caps the muzzle and does its job keeping flash down without adding bulk.
Where a lot of basic carbines ship with bargain plastic, Black Rain fitted this one with a full Magpul MOE package in Flat Dark Earth.
