The straight blowback action is simple and reliable, but like most semi-auto .22s it runs best on quality high-velocity ammunition. Standard and high-velocity loads from CCI, Federal, and similar brands tend to cycle without issue. Bargain-bin waxy bulk ammo can cause occasional hiccups in any rimfire semi-auto, so feed it decent stuff and it will hum along.
