The fiberglass mesh inner liner is rated to 2000 degrees, so it keeps protecting even when the outer layer is pushed to its limit. If the cover gets too hot to touch, let it cool fully before resuming your firing schedule.
Not when it is installed correctly. The cinch system tightens around both end caps, and the inner mesh sleeve grips the suppressor body, so the cover stays put even during fast strings. If a cover slides forward, that is a sign it was not cinched down properly.
