This 3-inch .45 ACP barrel turns your Bond Arms derringer into a reliable centerfire platform. Whether you already own one of these Texas-made compact pistols or you're building out your caliber collection, this barrel drops right in and is ready to run. The satin stainless finish complements the derringer platform while resisting corrosion through regular use and storage.
Swapping barrels is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. Simply remove the barrel retaining pin using the included Allen wrench, slide out the old barrel assembly, and install the new one. Once reinstalled, you've essentially built yourself a different gun without spending money on a whole new frame.
This caliber chambers rimless ammunition, which means the barrel includes a notched chamber design instead of a traditional extractor. The notch allows you to use your fingernail to pry out empty cases, making field reloading fast and simple. The 3-inch length gives you a good balance between velocity and concealability compared to longer barrels in the Bond lineup.
Bond Arms builds these barrels to close tolerances using quality stainless steel. Fixed sights come integrated into the design, and the non-threaded muzzle matches the original fit and function of Bond Arms Hand Cannon frames. This isn't a universal barrel that needs fitting or gunsmithing, it's a factory-style accessory built by the same Texas manufacturer that made your frame.
This barrel is compatible with all Bond Arms Hand Cannon models, including the Defender, Texas Defender, and other standard frames. It is not compatible with the Stinger model. Bond Arms barrels are built to tight tolerances, so you should have a solid fit, though in rare cases may require light fitting by a gunsmith.
Since .45 ACP is rimless, this barrel uses a notched chamber design instead of a traditional shell extractor. You can use your fingernail or a small tool to pop empty cases out through the notch. Rimmed calibers like .45 Colt use round extractors that eject cases more automatically.
