Underneath the finish is the same stainless steel double barrel and frame Bond Arms is known for, chambered to run both .45 Colt and 2.5" .410 shotshells through its 3.5" barrel. The break-open action locks up with a spring-loaded, cammed locking lever for a tight barrel-to-frame fit, and the automatic spent casing extractor speeds up reloads noticeably compared to older derringer designs. Bond's patented rebounding hammer and retracting firing pin work alongside the crossbolt safety, so this is a far more refined machine than the derringers of the Old West it takes its shape from. The extended black ash grips are custom engraved with the flag to match the frame, and the longer profile fills the hand better than standard derringer panels, which matters when you touch off a .45 Colt from a 22 ounce gun.

Yes, the 3.5" barrel is chambered for both .45 Colt and 2.5" .410 bore shotshells. You can mix and match, running one of each or two of the same. Keep in mind it does not accept 3" .410 shells, so stick with 2.5" shotshells.
It does. The Old Glory is compatible with all of Bond Arms' standard interchangeable barrels, which swap out with a single screw. That means you can add barrels in .357 Magnum, 9mm, .38 Special, and other chamberings to turn one frame into several different guns.
It's both, in a sense. The flag design is laser engraved into a full Cerakote finish over the stainless steel barrel and frame, and the extended black ash grips carry a matching engraved flag. Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating known for excellent wear and corrosion resistance, so the design holds up to regular handling and carry.
