Bergara built its name making barrels for other rifle companies before it ever put its own name on a receiver, and that barrel-first pedigree shows up in the B-14 Sierra Wilderness. This one is chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 22-inch No. 5 taper fluted barrel in 4140 chrome-moly steel, free-floated, finished in Sniper Gray Cerakote, and threaded 5/8×24 with Bergara's Omni muzzle brake already installed. The brake takes real sting out of the .300 Win Mag, which matters when you are trying to spot your own hits or squeeze in a practice session without getting beat up. A 1:10 twist stabilizes the heavy, high-BC bullets that make this cartridge such a proven performer on elk, moose, and long cross-canyon shots.
The Sierra is the adjustable one in Bergara's Wilderness family. The synthetic Sporter stock wears wilderness camo with a SoftTouch finish that stays grippy in wet weather, and the adjustable cheek comb lets you dial in eye-to-scope alignment instead of craning your neck over the stock. Quarter-inch length-of-pull spacers fine-tune the fit, and the slightly more vertical grip settles your hand naturally behind the trigger. That trigger is Bergara's Performance model, crisp and clean from the factory. The two-lug B-14 action, also Cerakoted in Sniper Gray, uses a coned bolt nose and sliding plate extractor for smooth, reliable feeding, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 pattern rings and bases, so mounting glass is simple.
This .300 Win Mag runs a hinged floorplate holding 3+1, which keeps the belly of the rifle slick for carrying. The M5 bottom metal cutout means you can convert to AICS-style detachable magazines down the road if you want more capacity for range days. At 7.6 pounds bare, it carries reasonably for a magnum and settles down nicely once you add glass. For a do-it-all mountain and big timber rifle, this one checks a lot of boxes.

Far more manageable than you would expect. The factory-installed Omni muzzle brake cuts felt recoil significantly, and at 7.6 pounds before optics the rifle has enough heft to soak up the rest. If you prefer a suppressor instead, the barrel is threaded 5/8×24 so swapping is easy.
No iron sights or rail are included. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 pattern rings and bases, which is one of the most common footprints out there, so finding a mounting setup is simple. The adjustable cheek comb makes it easy to get proper eye alignment once your scope is mounted.
