Bravo Company took what they learned from years of overseas use and boiled it down into the Mod 3 Stock, a lean refinement of the tried-and-true M4-style buttstock. In Flat Dark Earth, it shaves the weight down to roughly 6.4 ounces while keeping things tough with an improved double-walled H-Beam construction. That combination gives you a stock that feels light on the rifle but doesn't flex or rattle when you shoulder it, which is exactly what you want out of a working carbine.
The whole profile is built to stay out of the way. There are no sharp edges or hooks to grab gear, slings, or your kit when you're transitioning or moving through tight spaces. A removable diamond-textured buttpad locks it into your shoulder and holds position during high-ready manipulation, and the non-slip side panels give you something to grab onto for supported and barricade shooting positions.
The Mod 3 carries both horizontal and vertical web sling attachment points, and those same slots double as an interface for BCM's MCMR-SM Quick Detachable Sling Mount. Slings of pretty much any make will run with it right out of the box, so you're not boxed into one system. It also inherits BCM's patented internal latch design, now paired with an ergonomic lever for fast repositioning and completely tool-less install and removal. Drop it on, cinch it down, and go.
One of the smarter touches here is compatibility with the optional M3 marksman risers. Pair the Mod 3 with a riser and you can build a repeatable, consistent cheek weld for running red dots, LPVOs, or passive night vision setups where head position really matters. It fits standard mil-spec carbine receiver extensions and, like the rest of BCM's lineup, it's made right here in the USA and built to outlast the rifle it's bolted to.
The Mod 3 Stock is designed for standard mil-spec carbine receiver extensions, which is the most common buffer tube found on AR-15 carbines. It slides right on and locks up with a friction-lock and internal latch for a tight, wobble-free fit. If you're running a commercial-spec tube, this stock isn't the right match.
No, this particular SKU is the standalone stock only. The optional M3 marksman risers are sold separately, or you can grab a bundle that includes both. If you plan to run higher-mounted optics or night vision and want a raised cheek weld, the risers are worth adding.
