Mission First Tactical built a name for themselves by figuring out how little material a stock actually needs to do its job well, and the Battlelink Minimalist Stock is proof of that philosophy. It slides right onto your existing Mil-Spec buffer tube as a direct replacement for a standard collapsible stock, keeping the overall footprint slim while still giving you a proper cheek weld and a shoulder pocket that locks in place under recoil.

What the Battlelink Minimalist Stock Is Made Of

The shell is molded from a reinforced, military grade polyamide blend, the same type of tough polymer MFT uses across their Battlelink lineup. It holds up to hard use without adding weight, which is the whole point of a minimalist design. The angled, non-slip rubberized buttpad is textured so it grips your shoulder or plate carrier instead of sliding around during fast presentations.

The Woven NRAT Strap on This Model

This particular version ships with roughly eight feet of black paracord braided directly onto the stock in a tight, even weave, commonly referred to as an NRAT strap. It adds only about half an ounce to the total weight, so you're still working with a stock that comes in well under 6 ounces even with the strap included. Beyond the tactical look, that woven paracord gives you a little extra purchase when shouldering the rifle and doubles as an emergency cordage stash if you ever need it.

Mounting the Battlelink Minimalist Stock

This stock is built specifically for Mil-Spec size 1.148 inch diameter receiver extensions, so double check your buffer tube before ordering since it will not fit commercial-spec tubes. Installation is straightforward since it's a slide-on replacement that uses your current buffer tube and hardware. MFT also carried over the smart sling setup from their other Battlelink stocks, with a non-rotating sling swivel socket positioned between the receiver end plate and the butt, plus footman's loops on either side sized to fit slings up to 1.25 inches wide, so you've got real flexibility in how you carry the rifle.
