Battle Arms Development didn't build the Authority series by copying somebody else's spec sheet. They started clean, machined the BAD556 receiver set from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, and cut the ambidextrous controls right into the metal instead of bolting them on afterward. The Authority-014 takes that platform and packages it as a 10.5 inch 5.56 SBR that comes in at a genuinely light 5.5 pounds, finished in Battle Arms' signature Combat Grey. With the B5 Bravo stock collapsed, the whole thing measures just 28 inches, which makes it easy to move with, easy to store, and quick to bring on target in tight spaces.
The barrel is 4150 chrome moly steel with a black nitride finish, cut with a 1:8 twist that handles the widest range of common 5.56 and .223 bullet weights. Each barrel gets individually headspaced to its matching 9310 steel bolt, and the 8620 carrier wears black nitride too, so cleanup is quick and the whole system runs smooth. Up front, the Thumper compensator tames the blast and muzzle rise you'd expect from a 10.5 inch barrel, and the 1/2×28 threading gives you options if you want to run something else down the road.
