That covers a huge range of threaded pistol and rimfire barrels, so if you picked up your can with a .578×28 piston for a .45 and want to run it on other hosts, this is the piece you have been missing.
Silencer Central machines these pistons from heat treated steel, which matters on a part that takes the brunt of every cycle on a recoil booster setup. The thread size and pitch are engraved right on the piston, so there is no guessing which one you grabbed out of the range bag when you are swapping between hosts. No bench, no vise, no special tools. The Banish 45 and 46 are user serviceable from both ends, so changing pistons is a quick unscrew and swap you can do at the range between magazines. On tilting barrel pistols the piston works with the booster spring to let the action cycle normally. The Banish 45 and 46 are multi-caliber cans rated from .45 ACP down to rimfire, so this piston lets you mount on any host barrel threaded 1/2×28, which is common on 9mm and rimfire pistols. Just make sure the bore of your suppressor setup matches the caliber you are shooting.
For fixed barrel hosts like PCCs and rifles, you will want the Banish fixed barrel spacer, which replaces the booster spring. The spring setup is only for tilting barrel pistols where the barrel moves during cycling. Running the correct configuration keeps the gun cycling reliably and protects your suppressor.
Banish engraves the thread diameter and pitch directly on each piston, so identification is quick even with a few different ones in your kit. This one is marked 1/2×28. The silver heat treated steel finish also helps it stand out from other pistons in the bag.
