The Armaspec Superlight Gun Builders Kit in .223/5.56 with SS/Red finish is built for the person who wants more than a bag of mil-spec parts. Rather than throwing in a budget trigger you'll probably swap out anyway, Armaspec left the fire control group and grip out on purpose. That means you supply the trigger and grip of your choice, and everything else in the kit is upgraded hardware you'd otherwise be buying piece by piece. It's designed to fit standard-pattern AR-15 lowers and similar clones, and every part is made in the USA and backed by Armaspec's lifetime warranty.
The headliner here is the Armaspec SFT45/90 ambidextrous safety selector. It runs as either a 45-degree or 90-degree throw, so it plays nice with just about any receiver, and folks who've run it consistently mention a smooth action and a crisp, positive lockup with no mush. The red anodized aluminum levers tie into the SS/Red theme, and since the arms can be swapped, lefties get the same easy reach as everyone else. You also get stainless steel anti-walk trigger and hammer pins, which use hex screws to lock down and keep your pins from creeping out under recoil.
Beyond the safety and the anti-walk pins, this kit rounds out the small stuff that makes or breaks a build. You get the enhanced Superlight takedown and pivot pins, an enhanced magazine release button, bolt catch, magazine catch, and the full spread of detents, springs, and roll pins in stainless steel. No, and that's by design. This is a builder's kit, so it leaves out the trigger group, hammer, disconnect and springs, along with the pistol grip and its hardware, plus the trigger guard. The idea is that you supply your own trigger and grip so you can spec them exactly how you want.
