The Armaspec Rhino R-23 in OD Green is one of those simple upgrades that pays off every time you run your rifle. It wraps around the magwell of your AR-15, M4, or M16 lower and does two jobs at once: it flares out the mouth of the mag well for smoother, quicker reloads, and it gives your support hand a contoured grip with finger grooves for better control. The 60-degree insertion angle guides mags home even when you can't see what you're doing, which is exactly what you want during a fast swap or in low light.
Most flared magwells mean buying a specialty lower or fussing with trigger guard pins. The Rhino skips all of that. Installation is about as painless as it gets. Using the included allen wrench, you back off the three assembly bolts, snap the grip onto your mil-spec lower, and tighten it back down. Nothing goes inside the trigger guard, and you don't have to disassemble anything. If you ever decide to pull it off, it leaves no permanent marks on your receiver.
A quick note from folks who've run these: on a true mil-spec lower it's typically a direct fit, but some aftermarket lowers or oversized trigger guards may need a little sanding or filing to seat perfectly. That's common with polymer magwell grips across the board and takes only a few minutes with a file or Dremel. It accepts standard AR-15 magazines including all Magpul PMAGs, Gen 3 included, so it plays nice with whatever you're already running.
On a standard mil-spec AR-15, M4, or M16 lower it's designed as a direct fit with no permanent modifications. It clamps around the outside of the magwell, so nothing goes inside the trigger guard and there's no disassembly involved. If you have a non mil-spec lower or an oversized trigger guard, you may need to do a little light sanding to get a perfect seat.
