Running a laser and a light on the same rifle usually means fighting for real estate. The Arisaka Side Scout Mount (SSM) solves that headache by replacing the stock Picatinny rail adapter on your scout light with a slim mount that tucks the light underneath either side of your ATPIAL series laser. It clears the ATPIAL-C, AN/PEQ15, and LA-5/PEQ, plus it gives room for an NGAL and the QD lever on the Steiner DBAL I2, A3, and D2. If you run night vision and want a clean, integrated setup, this is the piece that pulls it all together.
Arisaka kept this one as low profile as possible, and it shows. The mount is CNC machined from 7075-T651 and 6061-T651 aluminum with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hardcoat anodized finish, so it holds up to hard use and stays subdued. It came out of years of prototyping specifically for the night vision crowd, and the design keeps the light body snug against the rail instead of hanging out where it can snag on gear or barricades.
Compatibility is broad. It works with Surefire M300 and M600 series bodies (including the A, B, C, V, and DF variants, plus the M312, M322, and M600 sub-models), Modlite PLH, PLHv2, and OKW, Streamlight Protac Rail Mount 1, 2, and HL-X (non-laser), CD REIN, and Arisaka's own 300, 600, and 18650 Series. Longer-base scout lights like the M620 and M951/2 will work too with the addition of Arisaka's Offset M620 adapter.
Installation is straightforward if you have the right drivers on hand. You'll need a T27/IP27 and a T20/IP20 for the mount itself, plus a T9 to pull the stock Picatinny adapter off your Surefire scout light. Arisaka recommends 20 inch-pounds on the light body screws and 30 inch-pounds on the clamping screw, with a low-to-medium strength threadlocker like Loctite 222 or 243. It's made in the USA and covered under Arisaka's patent.

No, this version is built for Picatinny rails only. If you're running an M-LOK handguard, Arisaka makes a dedicated M-LOK version of the Side Scout Mount instead. Make sure you match the mount to the rail system on your rifle before ordering.
