If you run a scout-style weapon light next to a laser like the B.E. Meyers MAWL, you already know how quickly the factory Picatinny adapter starts fighting for real estate. The patented Arisaka Inline Scout Mount (ISM) solves that by replacing the stock adapter with a slim, low-profile mount that tucks the light underneath either side of the MAWL series. Less bulk above the rail means a cleaner setup and fewer accessories bumping into each other.
The standout feature here is the three selectable mounting positions. Different light heads have different diameters, so being able to shift the light left or right of center lets you clear the MAWL without interference. It also opens up options for working around front sights and other rail-mounted gear. The base of the light sits right around 0.2 inches above the mounting surface, so you keep things tight and inline rather than bulky.
Arisaka machines the ISM-P from 7075-T651 and 6061-T651 aluminum and finishes it with MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodizing, so it holds up to hard use while tipping the scale at just 0.6 ounces. It measures 1.265 inches long and 0.2 inches thick. This one is made in the USA and covered under U.S. Patent No. 11385026 and D999327.
Compatibility is broad. It works with the Modlite PLH, PLHv2, and OKW, a long run of Surefire Scout Lights including the M300 and M600 families, Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1, 2, and HL-X (non-laser), the CD REIN, and Arisaka's own 300, 600, and 18650 Series. The mount ships with the screws needed to attach the light body, though you'll want your own Torx drivers on hand for install (T27 and T20), plus a T9 to pull the stock adapter off a Surefire Scout.
The ISM-P covers a wide range of scout-style lights, including the Modlite PLH, PLHv2, and OKW, plus Surefire M300 and M600 series Scout Lights. It also fits the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1, 2, and HL-X (non-laser), the CD REIN, and Arisaka's own 300, 600, and 18650 Series bodies. If your light uses the standard Scout-style mounting interface, it very likely fits.
You'll need a T27 (IP27) and a T20 (IP20) Torx driver to mount the light and clamp the mount to the rail. If you're pulling a factory adapter off a Surefire Scout Light, a T9 Torx driver handles that job. None of these drivers are included, so grab them before you start, and a dab of Loctite 222 or 243 is recommended on the clamp screw.
Yes, that's the whole point of the design. It replaces the bulky stock rail adapter and tucks your light underneath either side of the B.E. Meyers MAWL series to cut down clutter above the rail. The three selectable positions let you shift the light so its head clears the MAWL without bumping into it.
It's CNC machined from 7075-T651 and 6061-T651 aluminum and finished with Type III hard coat anodizing, which is about as rugged as it gets for a mount this size. Despite that, it only adds 0.6 ounces to your setup. It's also made in the USA and covered by Arisaka's patents.
